Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Director of Product Management to lead the evolution of our Continuous Integration (CI) product for thousands of our internal developers at Salesforce, scaling it to support a growing developer ecosystem across all of our clouds. This individual contributor role will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for our CI product. You will work closely with teams across Mulesoft, Tableau, and future business units to ensure adoption and alignment with enterprise-wide goals.
As Director of Product for CI, you'll work alongside a global network of engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to streamline software delivery, boost platform reliability, and build a CI solution that anticipates and meets evolving needs. With a strong product perspective, you'll champion scalable, standardized approaches that avoid custom, isolated implementations. You're skilled in engaging with engineering teams and a wide array of stakeholders, from individual developers to senior engineering leaders. Passionate about technology, you bring a deep empathy for our internal developers, striving to create an exceptional experience that enables them to excel.
Your Skills:
Product Mindset: Vision for building a standard, reusable product versus custom solutions; experience managing high-scale, complex product environments, in a developer-focused setting.
Technical Leadership: Proven experience in CI/CD, ideally with Jenkins; understanding of event-based pub/sub models; and challenges of legacy systems and solutions for scaling CI.
Developer Experience: Familiarity with large-scale developer tools and environments, with an understanding of developer workflows and pain points across software delivery life cycles.
Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to communicate across engineering, product, and leadership levels to align goals and secure buy-in for strategic direction.
Customer-Centric Approach: Ability to identify and address customer needs across clouds while avoiding isolated or custom implementations.
Strategic Vision: Track record of setting multi-year product strategies and translating them into actionable roadmaps, prioritizing based on impact and feasibility.
Collaborative: Experienced in leading global cross-functional teams and in close partnership with other product managers on the security side.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 8 years in Technical Product Management or equivalent experience, with for roles focused on CI and other development tools.
Experience in managing significant product transformations, especially with legacy systems, to ensure successful adoption within complex organizations.
Proven, demonstrable track record on collaborating and influencing executives
Experience in taking one or more products through the full product cycle, from proposal to launch
A solid grasp of software development processes, tools, and best practices, emphasizing those that enhance developer productivity and satisfaction.
Proficiency in leveraging data analytics tools to extract insights and guide product choices.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
