This is a hands-on role responsible for sophisticated cloud spend analytics, cloud cost optimization and cloud cost management platform. Public Cloud Enablement team is focused on providing access to the cloud resources (Amazon Web Services AWS, Google Cloud Platform GCP,
Microsoft Azure) for internal software engineering teams. It serves as a connection point between business units, finance, accounting, technical sourcing and cloud service providers. This role is hybrid and meets in the office 3 days a week.

Your Impact:

  • As a subject matter expert, provide insights into structure of cloud cost elements, analysis of trends and factors influencing cloud spend.
  • Increase cost savings through the identification and adoption of cost saving practices.
  • Establish governing frameworks around usage and spend optimization.
  • Help business units to establish accurate public cloud cost management processes.
  • Understand their product roadmap, spend patterns and cloud infrastructure utilization
  • Overview, monitor and manage reservations and savings plans commitments
  • Identify underutilized resources and work with engineering teams to improve cost efficiency
  • Build and support analytical solutions related to the cloud spend. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and related configuration data
  • Create plans and forecasts related to the resource usage and cloud spend
  • Leverage Cloud Cost Management platform for cost analytics.
  • Work with Accounting and Finance to track public cloud spend.
  • Lead M&A cloud integration into Salesforce cloud ecosystem
  • Provide SME viewpoint on AI related cost management
  • Provide monthly cost allocation reports to business owners, Finance and Accounting
  • Complete SOX controls applicable to the public cloud spend
  • Work cross-functionally and advise on service optimization, efficiencies and cost saving opportunities related to cloud services.
  • Partner with key collaborators (i.e., Finance, R&D Leaders, Engineering, etc.) to align on spend variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Maintain relationship with Cloud Service Providers
  • Design, build, and maintain processes to turn source data into actionable information
  • Develop technical and functional documentation related to solutions and processes built by the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Practical knowledge of AWS, GCP and Azure public cloud architecture (navigating resources, check configuration, perform maintenance and configuration tasks, investigate anomalies)


  • Experience with cloud management tools
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, experience with working with large datasets.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Tableau
  • Practical knowledge of SQL. Hands-on experience crafting and handling SQL data sets for analytical purposes
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical professionals up to the senior/executive level
  • Proven ability to influence across varying levels of an organization in a fast-paced work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Architect/Administrator experience with multiple clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • FinOps certification or familiarity with the framework
  • Experience automating reports and reporting systems, including data gathering, aggregation, and extrapolating forecast models.
  • Experience with CloudHealth cost management platform
  • Understanding of software procurement/sourcing processes in a large company (contracts, agreements, purchase orders, invoices).
  • Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical subject area, and a minimum of 6 years related experience
