Who We're Looking For
Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is seeking a Cloud Governance & FinOps Technical Lead to join our Cloud Engineering team. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with governance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA, GDPR) and driving FinOps initiatives to optimize cloud costs and operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud governance, regulatory compliance, FinOps practices, and the ability to leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and scale cloud operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the principal expert for cloud governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, GDPR, and Toyota's internal cloud standards.
- Lead FinOps initiatives, including cost visibility, tagging strategies, cost optimization, and cloud financial management, while building dashboards for KPIs, metrics, and health monitoring.
- Design, implement, and maintain a modern, automated cloud environment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines to enforce governance and operational efficiency.
- Establish and enforce technical standards for cloud operations, including governance strategies, policies, and coding standards, while maintaining professional documentation (e.g., ADRs, Confluence, repo documentation).
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Security, Legal, Product) and vendors to ensure cloud solutions meet regulatory, security, and business requirements.
- Provide thought leadership in cloud governance, FinOps, and DevOps, while researching and implementing emerging technologies to drive innovation and compliance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring a well-managed and secure cloud environment.
- Mentor and provide technical direction to the cloud governance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and Agile/Scrum best practices.
What You Bring
- In-depth experience with cloud governance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA, GDPR) and regulatory compliance.
- Strong expertise in FinOps practices, including cost optimization, tagging strategies, and cloud financial management.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines for automating governance and operational processes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security controls, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, logging, and monitoring.
- Proficiency in Python programming and API development for automation and tooling.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., QuickSight, Power BI, CUR) to drive cost visibility and decision-making.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver compliant and cost-effective cloud solutions.
- Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security - Specialty) are a plus.
