We have a new position within our Engines Value Stream for a professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Program Management, who is able to manage complex problems in medium to large programs.
You will be tasked with developing and implementing new products and operational plans to deliver desired results. You will also develop program plans, schedules, and budgets, and support strategic planning efforts, contract negotiations, and may manage important vendors.
More specifically, this position supports Collins Aerospace's Engine OEM customers with engine sensing solutions delivered to each of the major manufacturers in this market. You will have experience in aerospace in a technical leadership capacity and will understand the basic processes and standards in the industry. You will be accountable for the full life-cycle of products and services encompassed in the value stream including pursuit, order capture, design and development, production, service/support and long term strategic plans. As the chair of an integrated product or project team (IPT), you will have P/L responsibility for assigned major programs, customer satisfaction and growth according to strategic plans.

What You Will Do:
- Lead in the areas of planning, organization and coordination of all functional departments necessary to support pursuits and programs to include proposal preparation and bid activities for assigned product lines and/or customers
- Ensure adherence to program baselines and serve as the primary customer point of contact in communication of program status
- Schedule, performance, cost attainment, sales, and order forecasts, and present proposals, status reports and customer status to leadership
- Exercise technical acuity and an understanding of engine sensing equipment, production methods, development processes and support methodologies
- Demonstrate leadership skills across the organization and with customers to meet objectives and satisfy customer requirements
- Build strong and extensive working relationships internally and externally - external customer contacts are typically mid-level or senior level program management, engineering, maintenance and procurement agents
- Works closely with all those involved in the Value Stream to ensure that orders, sales, and profit are forecasted correctly and that goals are met
- Execution responsibilities include cost, schedule, technical performance, risk management, product support, manufacturing, and quality of all assigned product lines
- Manage supplier relationships in coordination with Subcontracts Management, and manage obsolescence to ensure continued production of products
- Provide leadership and direct support to one or more junior employees.
What You Will Learn:
- You will learn about our Temperature and Speed Sensor products, their technical capabilities, and opportunities for growth
- You will understand the position our products sit in the Engines Market Channel and the needs of the Engines customers
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Demonstrated experience and success in leading an indirect team in a matrix organization structure
- Business acumen and proficiency interpreting and acting on financial information in decision making including earned value management and analysis of discounted cashflows.
- Established proficiency to identify and execute upon opportunities to work seamlessly with other functions, portfolios, and geographic locations.
- Proven leadership in strategic thought, appropriate analysis, well-prepared contributions, and sound, timely decision-making.
- Demonstrated embodiment of a positive, passionate sense of urgency and ownership and ability to instill it in teammates and co-workers.
- Familiarity with Lean principles
- Familiarity with Collins Aerospace Avionics Strategic Business Unit business and management practices, is desired but not required.
- Execution experience with development and manufacturing programs, preferably in an aerospace or other highly regulated industry.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
