Value Stream Manager

The Value Stream Manager (VSM) is the Integrated Project Team leader within a production or depot manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will report to the Factory Manager and be accountable for the daily management and direction of a cross functional team which includes the Value Stream Lead (VSL), Production Support team (ME, PTE, IE, QE, PC) and Production engineering/test support team. The VSM will be tasked to generate, maintain, and execute clear operational schedules, priorities, goals while collaborating with functional management to allow for continuous manufacturing of line-flow or end-item products. Additionally, the VSM will have accountability for production, depot deliveries, failure investigation and triage, direction to salary production support, prioritization of design engineering support and safety within their factory area.

What You Will Do

• Cost / Quality / Schedule performance
• Supports deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools, and metrics to accurately measure progress and drive continuous improvement
• Perform a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow
• Prioritizes manufacturing interrupters and drives the resolution process to meet contractual delivery requirements
• Compiling labor forecasts and Estimates at Compete (EACs) for the support and touch employees
• Communication of customer requirements
• Value Stream CORE implementation
• Workforce planning and forecasting
• Ensure compliance to all pertinent operating procedures, organizational directives, and manufacturing data packages
• Safety compliance

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of eight (8) years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of five (5) years' experience.
• Experience with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and or Engineering.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with lean, six sigma or CORE project implementations
• Strong management skills including the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision, goal setting, delegation, coaching, and motivating
• Manufacturing or engineering experience in the aerospace/defense industry
• Understanding of an Operations Environment (TAKT, Line Balancing, Value Stream Mapping, MRP)
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
• High computer literacy and with confidence and skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams) and familiarity with Raytheon systems (PRISM, PDM)
• Demonstrated direct and influential leadership

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
