Raytheon is seeking a Finance Manager to lead a portfolio of programs within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) SBU. This leader will join our dynamic the Strike Initiatives (SI) SSBU finance team as the lead for program area that includes NGI, EKV & RKV, as such this portfolio includes managing execution as well as these programs through close-out and/or termination. You must be able to understand typical program financial operations (EKV), yet be willing to take on the responsibility of learning and managing program termination processes & scope (NGI & RKV). This is an atypical Raytheon Business Manager role that offers the candidate the experience to manage the portfolio requiring the typical financial products, (proposals, EACs, forecast, cash management, cost budgeting, etc.) but under the rules and processes required of terminated programs and program close-out. Although much of the portfolio is executing terminations and close-out these will be ongoing for several years and continue to be dynamic in financial execution. Additionally, there is a new business pipeline for several sustainment efforts under the EKV area within the next 12 months.

In this role, a successful candidate will manage all finance related activities and must be willing to think, rationalize and make decisions autonomously. Additionally, a candidate for this role should possess strong technical knowledge of finance and program controls, strong problem-solving abilities and good communication skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the financial forecasting and reporting, variance analysis, presenting at business level reviews, Estimates at Completion (EACs), settlement proposal development & supplier proposal assessments. Critical focus will be to ensure financial stability and protection of the company profitability and cash position.

Must be comfortable working alongside senior-level program directors, as well as cross-functionally, specifically with Contracts, Supply Chain and Legal (internal and external legal representatives). This position has managerial responsibilities over several Analysts.

This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

What You Will Do

  • Provide leadership and supervise a team Analysts while working closely with cross-functional partners
  • Working closely with the customer community to protect the company financial positions
  • Effective management of day-to day operations while maintaining a view of long-term impact of decisions
  • Finance staffing, coaching and building team strength
  • Estimate at Complete (EAC), including program risk & opportunity management
  • Financial Forecasting/FP&A - AOP & monthly forecast development
  • Learn contractual (FAR) requirements of execution of terminated programs
  • Effectively partner with external customer to develop relationships
  • Participation and lead of program & functional business reviews to ensure financial integrity

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related topic
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years' experience
  • Financial controls experience
  • Experience across Accounting, FP&A, and/or Program Finance

Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
