This is an intermediate pricing position within a dynamic organization focused on creating winning cost proposals to help achieve Raytheon's business goals. This includes proposal development for ongoing programs, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and competitive new business pursuits. The position offers visibility to, and requires extensive contact with all functional team members, subcontractors, customers, and senior management.
What You Will Do
- Plan, lead and perform pricing and cost proposal development in accordance with customer requirements and current government regulations, laws and company policies.
- Provide pricing support for all phases of the proposal process from pre-RFP activities through proposal fact-finding, government audits, negotiations and award.
- Assess RFP requirements - translating them into a fully compliant cost proposal. This includes tasks such as: developing pricing strategies, constructing flexible cost /pricing Excel models, writing compelling cost narratives, and meeting schedule and compliance requirements in order to submit compelling and winning cost volumes.
- Effectively organize and lead a pricing team, in addition to acting as the Pricing Lead for large sole-source and competitive proposals with minimal to no supervision.
- Conduct detailed analysis as necessary to support and impact proposal quality, cost realism and reasonableness via basis of estimate review, historical program analysis and comparison, and price to win analysis.
- Provide training and mentoring to entry-level pricing analysts to ensure organizational capabilities are met and individual growth is achieved.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field
- Experience with MS Office
- The candidate must be able to travel in support of proposal activities at other Raytheon locations, as needed.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in proposing different contract types such as: (CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, FPIF, T&M)
- Experience with government laws and regulations related to the development and negotiation of cost proposals such as: (FAR, DFARS, CAS, TINA/15-2)
- Experience working in a pricing lead role/as a cost volume lead
- Advanced level experience using Microsoft Excel (Macros, Visual Basic) and MS Word
- Experience in ProPricer Pricing Software
- Current TS/SCI clearance
- Demonstrated ability to support, lead and manage cost proposals in a dynamic environment
- Be very detail oriented and have demonstrated ability to think strategically. Ability to work both independently and as an integral team member working closely with various functions, including business development, program management, finance, contracts and other functional organizations is required.
- Effective communication skills - including verbal, written and presentation skills

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
