As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Certification(s) Preferred:

One or more of the following credentials or certifications is required for promotion to Manager: CPA License in work office state; Levels 1 & 2 of the CFA exam; JD, PhD, MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Tax, Quantitative Statistics, Financial Engineering, Economics, Real Estate Finance or Hospitality; State Certified Appraiser License***, Member Appraisal Institute (MAI), or completion of all requirements for CCIM designation; CHA; or Project Management Professional (PMP).

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in financial issues, capital markets and product life cycle; knowledge which will be enhanced by working on various client engagements and assignments related to complex financial issuing, investing in or trading financial instruments. Candidates who have experience in Financial Services products and services (e.g., Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management, Insurance).Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success with significant industry experience in Treasury (via a professional services consulting role or internally in a Treasury function). Well versed in US GAAP financial instrument guidance especially derivatives and hedging and the application within Treasury.Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in financial products and issues that both issuers and investors face as markets evolve over time including the following areas:
- Applying accounting treatments of financial products and securitizations held by financial institutions, including familiarity with regulatory requirements related to securitization;
- Assessing, developing, and implementing sustainable risk management processes including governance and oversight, key compliance processes such as risk assessment, monitoring and testing, training, corrective action and reporting and supporting compliance technologies; and,
- Leveraging analytical ability and the ability to research, interpret, and evaluate laws, regulations, rules, standards and industry practices.Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, including the following areas:
- Researching and analyzing technical matters, while utilizing problem-solving skills - this includes the analysis of large and complex data sets, demonstrating an aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses to execute related deliverables;
- Implementing and/or using credit risk workflow, analytic tools - e.g., Moody's, S&P, nCino, and/or, reporting technologies - e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, VBA, Tableau, Oracle, IBM, et al.;
- Utilizing Allowance for Credit Losses, including methodology, models and knowledge of US GAAP requirements under Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL). Knowledge of IFRS 9; and,
- Demonstrating familiarity with operational processes and systems relating to financial products and services (e.g., Credit Cards, Mortgages, Securitization, etc.).Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader & team member in a professional services consulting firm, including, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Demonstrating knowledge of macroeconomic and regulatory environment as they relate to financial institutions and leveraging a working knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry leading practices relating to risk management programs and processes;
- Demonstrating knowledge of balance sheet management, asset liability management (ALM), funds transfer pricing (FTP), capital management, and financial performance management;
- Demonstrating knowledge of business process design, modeling, and automation as well as related tools (e.g., bots, visualization);
- Managing multiple, complex projects and direct medium to large staff teams;
- Utilizing effective written and verbal business communication skills when interacting with team members and/or clients in a professional setting; and,
- Demonstrating flexibility and desire to travel, as client assignments require.

The salary range for this position is: $82,000 - $204,500, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
