The Opportunity
As part of the ASR - Financial Markets Accounting Advisory Manager team you are expected to advise clients in a variety of sectors on a broad range of complex technical accounting, financial reporting, and capital markets topics. As a Manager you are expected to lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for maintaining project success and upholding standards, enhancing your leadership style, and motivating, developing, and inspiring others to deliver quality.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on complex technical accounting and financial reporting
- Address capital markets topics across various sectors
- Lead and manage client accounts focusing on accounting advisory
- Mentor and develop junior staff members
- Secure project success and maintain rigorous standards
- Implement strategic planning for client engagements
- Inspire and motivate team members to deliver quality
- Cultivate meaningful client relationships
What You Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of experience
- One or more of the following credentials or certifications is required: CPA License, Level 3 of the CFA, JD, PhD, MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Tax, Quantitative Statistics, Financial Engineering, Economics, Real Estate Finance or Hospitality A State Licensed Appraiser, Member of Appraisal Institute (MAI), Member of American Society of Appraisers (ASA) or obtain certification of CRE, CRI and/or CCIM, CHA, or PMP
What Sets You Apart
- Management Information Systems & Accounting, Accounting, Economics, Finance preferred
- Broad knowledge and proven record of success in US GAAP financial instrument guidance
- Participating as an individual contributor and team member with senior Financial Markets practitioners
- Advising clients on complex technical accounting, financial reporting, and capital markets topics
- Presenting to large and mid-scale audiences on technical topics
- Staying current and applying relevant technical accounting and financial reporting standards
- Identifying and elevating issues early, proposing solutions and communicating them effectively

The salary range for this position is: $82,500 - $291,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
