At Robinhood, our mission is to democratize finance for all. The Capital Markets team plays a critical role in supporting this vision by ensuring the company has the financial resources and market access needed to grow, innovate, and manage risk. As the Director of Capital Markets, you will lead our efforts to access, manage, and optimize funding channels for our credit products while building and maintaining positive relationships with investors, financial institutions, and market participants. Reporting to our Corporate Treasurer, you will work cross-functionally with teams such as Treasury, Finance, Credit, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to drive critical initiatives that support the growth of Robinhood Credit products.

What you’ll do

  • Lead capital market efforts to support growth of Robinhood’s credit card business, including structuring, negotiating and executing on warehouse lending facilities, establishing forward flow arrangements, and enabling the capabilities for securitization issuance program.
  • Cultivate relationships with investment banks, institutional investors, and other capital providers to establish diversified funding sources for credit card receivables and optimize cost of funding.
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, Credit, Engineering and Legal to ensure seamless execution of capital market initiatives.
  • Establish and oversee a scalable Credit Card Operations team with the responsibility of improving daily settlement process across financing vehicles, managing customer account movement process between issuing bank and master trust facility, creating a data platform to track performance of collateral allocated to master trust facilities, covenant management, and monthly reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to the board and senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on financial strategies and capital market activities that support the central initiatives of Robinhood’s Credit Card product.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to proactively adapt the company’s credit card funding strategy.
  • Ensure all capital market activities comply with regulatory requirements, collaborating with legal and compliance teams to maintain transparency and meet reporting standards.

What you bring

  • 10+ years of experience in capital markets, corporate finance, or a related field, with a consistent track record of establishing diversified funding sources for credit card portfolios.
  • Deep knowledge of financial markets, debt and equity instruments, and risk management practices.
  • Experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated industries (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess market trends and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with institutional investors and financial institutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA designation preferred).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing capital markets, including SEC, FINRA, and other applicable standards.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
