Responsibilities

The Territory Sales Lead is responsible for leading a team of Territory Sales Representatives and Merchandising Team Leads to drive superior marketplace execution and customer service while owning a part of the total P&L within a designated market. The Territory Sales Lead will also have the opportunity to cultivate relationships and manage multiple priorities to make a positive business impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, motivate, and develop a team of employees both frontline and managers in order to increase sales, daily productivity and deliver a profitable P&L within the individual assigned pods.
  • Conduct 'work-withs/route rides' with employees to develop their selling and customer service skills
  • Work proactively with customers to understand business needs and develop strong relationships
  • Maintain process improvement to further enhance productivity of PepsiCo's selling and delivery model
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure orders are submitted, delivered, and merchandised according to plan
  • Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance
  • Hold regular weekly meetings with cross functional teams, including Territory Sales Representatives and Merchandising Team Leads to discuss sales and territory strategies
  • Set productivity and service targets and ensure proper resource allocation between accounts
  • Oversee the Merchandising Function, including ensuring proper coverage of Customer Service Specialists and other full-time Merchandisers in their designated account territories
  • As needed, assist Territory Sales Representatives or Merchandising Team Leads with ad hoc tasks, including but not limited to coaching, intermittent daily routing, and/or customer onboarding

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $66,300 - $111,000.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out quarterly.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years managing frontline employees and managers or demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience

  • Consumer packaged goods experience in a direct store delivery environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/ or weekends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
  • Safe driving record strongly preferred
  • At least 2-5 year of sales experience

Helpful Experience:

  • Consumer packaged goods in a direct store delivery environment: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Customer relationship management experience (preferred)
  • Previous people management experience or demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Consumer packaged goods in a direct store delivery environment: 1 year (Preferred)
