Northrop Grumman is seeking qualified candidates for the Future Technical Leaders (FTL) program which pursues high potential advanced degree candidates from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) backgrounds. The program consists of three, one-year assignments in different roles, organizations, locations and mission areas supporting various customers internal and external to Northrop Grumman.
Rotational assignment(s) may include, but are not limited to, systems or software engineering, Research and Development (R&D) in any technology area, or opportunities to explore non-technical areas such as business development and project management.

Throughout the FTL program participants have opportunities to:

Considerably expand their resume and work/technical experience base
* Receive significant, enhanced mentoring by technical experts including Northrop Grumman Executives
* Accelerate technical, leadership and business skills through networking and soft skills development opportunities
* Gain experience and insight into as much of Northrop Grumman as possible that will assist participants in making a well-informed decision to the direction of their preferred career path (including post FTL Job Role) at FTL program completion
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3. A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria.
For FTL Engineering and Sciences (Level 2):

Have obtained a Bachelor's degree and be completing or has completed a Master's and/or PhD degree from an accredited institution
* Completed Master's or PhD required for current employees
* Be majoring in/or have majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
* Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
* Leadership and communication skills demonstrated through such things as academic group projects, involvement in professional associations including student organizations, community outreach, and/or activities in other pertinent external organizations
* Be able to obtain a U.S. Government (USG) security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
* The ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable timeframe, as determined by Northrop Grumman to meet its business needs
* Must be willing to relocate within the United States for any of the rotations available within the FTL Program
* Must be willing to travel to support job role/rotation requirements
For Principal FTL Engineering and Sciences (Level 3):

Have obtained a Ph.D. degree or has completed a Master's degree from an accredited institution with 3 years relevant experience
* Be majoring in/or have majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
* Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
* Leadership and communication skills demonstrated through such things as academic group projects, involvement in professional associations including student organizations, community outreach, and/or activities in other pertinent external organizations
* Be able to obtain a U.S. Government (USG) security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite
* The ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable timeframe, as determined by Northrop Grumman to meet its business needs
* Must be willing to relocate within the United States for any of the rotations available within the FTL Program

Preferred Qualifications:

Have an overall cumulative GPAs of 3.50/4.0 or higher
* Applied technical experience as demonstrated through such things as a thesis
* Familiarity with systems engineering and/or software development
Salary Range: $83,300 - $124,900
Salary Range 2: *$102,400 - $153,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
