WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

This role reports to the Sr. Director of Men's Nike Sportswear Apparel, Classics & SB. You will lead a team of Product Line Managers who are responsible for a diverse portfolio of product including Club, Windrunner, Nike Air & SB. The key partners you will collaborate with include Merchandising, Design, Technical Design, Product Developers, Margin Planning, Sourcing and Costing. Nike is a highly matrixed organization where you will regularly present to large audiences including senior leadership.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Product Director for our Men's Nike Sportswear Apparel Team. This role will lead our product management team in creating strategies to deliver industry leading products that inspire our consumers, set new standards and drive business success. The ideal candidate will have a strong strategic vision, be an effective communicator, and be adept at influencing others. They will care deeply about their influence on the team around them and be rooted in all things consumer. The candidate will also embody a balance of art and science, possessing equally strong business discernment.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • A minimum of 9 years directly relevant work experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of merchandising and costing
  • Exceptional application of development skills including high level concept development and be creative and technical
  • Strong understanding and application of managerial concepts and techniques in areas such as project/change management, idea creation, employee development, coaching and cross-team effectiveness
  • Strong communication, influencing and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate across multiple audiences in a complex organizational structure
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing resources and deadlines
  • Consumer knowledge/insight
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

If this is you, you will lead a team of product managers to brief and commercialize a seasonal product line that advances the Men's Apparel strategy and delivers against financial targets. You will be responsible to lead, mentor, and encourage the Product Management team to achieve their personal best and implement at a very high level. In partnership with Operations, you will lead key meetings in the calendar and ensure that the cross functional triad deliver against objectives and timelines. Strong leadership and an in depth understanding of the product creation process are critical.

  • You will contribute a deep understanding of the consumer, industry, competition, and global marketplace.
  • You have the ability to bring process clarity, be solution oriented, and bring an infectious positive energy to a large and diverse group.
  • You will collaborate on strategy and line planning, build and present product briefs, participate in design and prototype reviews, and build and present compelling presentations to gain consensus from downstream partners.
