As an Inside Property Advocate focused on estimation, you will be a subject matter expert in this area of our operation, helping us to swiftly assess property damage related to claims across multiple product lines. Your extensive experience in assessing property damage accurately will allow you to aid our broader operation with its ongoing goals. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to or lead department roundtables, serve as a valuable peer resource to other team members, and generally share your knowledge with a collegial and thoughtful group of claims professionals

What You’ll Do:
- Investigate claim damages and situations using internal and external resources
- Assign vendors for fieldwork
- Maintain electronic records that accurately and thoroughly document all estimation and related file-handling activity
- In relevant cases, make prompt contact with customers to set expectations, develop an action plan, and perform an initial exposure assessment
- Assist with policy coverage by analyzing estimation data and policy terms
- When necessary, explain coverage to policyholders and provide excellent customer service
- Determine settlement amounts for damages claimed within assigned authority limits, escalating to management if need be or issuing payments accordingly
- Ensure regular and timely follow-up and bring estimates and/or claims to prompt and appropriate resolution, while keeping customers (both internal and external) informed throughout the life cycle of the process
- Provide relevant insights to the team to enable learning initiatives
- Other duties as needed, given the evolution of the business and your contributions to the function
What We Need:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in property adjusting and/or estimation
- Real-world field experience in property claims assessment is strongly preferred
- Required or ability to promptly obtain appropriate Independent Adjuster Licenses
- Experience with Xactimate software is required
- Strong understanding of claims processes, policy language, and industry terminology
- Proven collaboration skills and ability to work across multiple departments
- Adaptable to dynamic, fast-paced environments, with a focus on quality and customer experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, without limitation, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
