Overview
The Digital Channels Financial Planning & Analysis team is looking to fill a year-round internship role. The candidate would work on financial analysis and reporting, working closely with the analysts on our team, which supports Navy Federal's Digital and Contact Center teams. In this role, the candidate will be given various responsibilities required to manage the finances for our Digital and Contact Center departments. To succeed in this role, the selected candidate should be able to demonstrate skills in problem solving, research, analysis and communication. The candidate should also demonstrate the ability to learn about new software and analysis techniques.
The preferred candidate is working on a degree in finance, accounting, or a similar major. Additionally, the candidate should be able to demonstrate skills with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities
• Develops, maintains and distributes monthly financial management reporting
• Analyze expense trends and forecast financial expenses
• Research expenses and work with vendors to ensure timely cost accounting
• Assists with analysis of various financial questions to provide financial insights
• Assist with annual budget process, including analysis and review of submissions
• Work with Oracle financial tools such their EPM Cloud, P2P and SmartView
• Opportunity to build dashboards using a visualization tool such as Power BI
• Provide support to assigned department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projects
• Support business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
• Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments
• Perform research and analysis; may include quantitative and/or qualitative analysis
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priority
• Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support
• Provide support in functional areas of the credit union
• May provide direct member service in high volume situations
• Process and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reports
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university
- Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions
- Ability to adapt to new technologies
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Desired - Strong academic record as evidenced by a 3.0 or higher GPA
