Lead Business Analyst For Innovation Project

The LCD Innovation - Business Analyst role will play a critical role in executing on key strategic change initiatives to transform processes, data and technology used to manage and report on non-financial risk within the Division, and across the Firm.

The Business Analyst will work closely with leaders and stakeholders from Non-Financial Risk Management teams to design, develop and implement process, data, technology and reporting solutions to deliver on prioritized business outcomes. The person will work closely with SMEs from the LCD Innovation Office as well as other key partners, including NFR Data & Analytics, Technology team(s), and delivery teams, including teams outside the Division and/or external execution partners. The person will be expected to participate in divisional, departmental and/or firm level transformation and change related forums, working groups and committees as required.

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, with sharp critical thinking skills, and the ability to apply business context to conceptual needs and translate them into appropriate requirements and solutions.

You will be responsible for:
  • Performing business analysis and solution design activities, including articulating requirements in the form of use cases, capabilities, user stories, detailed functional requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Employing user-centric and Design-Thinking techniques to optimize user experience for functional and reporting solutions
  • Managing the full life cycle of owned activities and/or projects to deliver prioritized business outcomes
  • Proactively identifying areas for collaboration and/or SME engagement and involving relevant individuals, teams and/or experts as appropriate
  • Working with SMEs, including solution design experts, data, reporting and regulatory and compliance experts and technology leadership to identify and implement effective, efficient and scalable solutions to address business needs
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and dots that should be connected, and providing recommendations to team members and/or senior management
  • Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with all project stakeholders and constituents, including technology teams
  • Working with matrixed and/or outsourced project team resources to deliver solutions in alignment with Divisional and/or Firm strategies and approaches

You have:
  • Undergraduate degree
  • 8+ years of experience, including proven business analysis, solution design (incl. use of Design Thinking techniques) and implementation expertise with large scale strategic change initiatives
  • Sharp critical thinking and problem solving skills, with a focus on
  • Strong experience of analyzing large data sets and designing and implementing data-driven solutions
  • Strong experience with user-centric design and ideation using Design Thinking techniques
  • Strong experience with translating business requirements into use cases, detailed functional user stories and structured acceptance criteria
  • Experience with engaging stakeholders of all levels from Non-Officers to MDs across technology and the business, ideally including within Non-Financial Risk domains
  • Excellent client-focus with outstanding judgment, analytical skills, critical thinking, influencing skills, and verbal and written skills
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple demands and changing priorities
  • Ability to build relationships across regions and functions, partnering with team members of all levels
  • Ability to deal with the uncertainty and drive progress under evolving and dynamic circumstances
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high change environment with experience of agile ways of working
  • Highly process- and data-oriented
  • Ability to critically analyze process and data requirements and apply relevant contextual information to inform designs
  • Ability to work in a proactive and self-directed way with minimal direction and task management
  • Excellent MS Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Comfortable with working in a matrix and/or virtual team structure

You might also have:
  • Experience with risk management related data and reporting
  • Experience of working in the financial services industry
  • Experience of working with data analysts and/or information management frameworks
