The Digital Client Experience and Platforms team within MSWM is responsible for transformational platform strategies that provide better tools for our Financial Advisors, support staff, and our clients. The team is recruiting a strategic thinker who has a passion for uncovering insights from data and executing projects to continuously improve business.

As a Product Owner you will be tasked with supporting our applications, leading the day-to-day business activities including agile ceremonies, requirements gathering and partnering with external business group to onboard new requests.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Gather and create business requirements/user stories through feedback sessions with our external partners as well as various field and home office partners, including key stakeholders from business, technology, UX, fraud operations, and control partners (Legal, Risk, Compliance)
  • Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning ceremonies to communicate requirements and drive consensus with squad and program stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the technology teams to assure effective communication of requirements and rapid delivery of key product releases.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX team when needed to develop user flows, wireframes, and visual design artifacts.
  • Identify cross team and platform impacts, dependencies and impediments to progress and ensure actionable next steps are addressed.
  • Provide active leadership, business analysis and subject matter expertise to the broader WM Platforms organization as it relates to platform and policy changes.
  • Communicate updates on project timelines, KPIs and reporting of key milestones to external stakeholders and WM Platforms leadership team.

Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of direct experience in product management or a relevant domain area
• Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
• Experience and knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices
• Experience moving technical or engineering programs and products from inception to delivery, with the ability to articulate impact.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and bring focus with recommendations on solving tactical and strategic challenges
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey product vision to stakeholders
• Innovative, curious, and client-centric mindset.

Preferred Skills/ Qualifications:
• Prior experience in the financial services industry and/or Wealth Management

a plus
• Familiarity with Agile collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence
