Vice President and Head of B2B Applications Growth

Overview

Imagine working with world's leading B2B software companies to create innovative, differentiated products and solutions that shape the future of B2B / Cross border commerce. The digital assets team in Mastercard is executing on the bold vision of delivering a new digital assets based payment capability for financial institutions and corporates. Our focus will be partnering with FIs and B2B solutions providers in accounts payable value chain to enable B2B and cross border payments.

We're looking for someone to join our fast-paced team to build relationships with key B2B enterprise software and solution providers and get them enrolled in our products and solutions. This is a global role based in one of our offices in New York or San Francisco.

Role-In this high-profile, customer-facing position you will:

- Develop a deep understanding our products / capabilities in this space including Multi-token Network, Crypto Credential and related complimentary products and services in Mastercard.

- Develop a partnerships with B2B enterprise solutions to incorporate Mastercard solutions in the digital assets, cross border payment space.

- Develop a deep understanding of key partner strategies in this space and help them develop a roadmap and business case to implement our products and services in this space

- Partner with internal teams including FI account management, product management and other enabling organizations to effectively show up as one team in front of the partners.

- Lead all aspects of partner proposals and deal execution (including business case development, commercial terms structuring, negotiations, and legal contracting) in close collaboration with key business partners (e.g., finance, legal, product, engineering) and regional teams.

All About You:

- Minimum of 10+ years in business development, partnerships, or strategic alliances within the B2B payments or fintech sectors.

- Proven track record of establishing and scaling partnerships with enterprise software companies that have B2B payment capabilities.

- Deep understanding of cross-border payment processes, international banking, and currency exchange mechanisms.

- Ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partnership opportunities that align with company objectives.

- Experience in structuring, negotiating, and closing complex agreements with large enterprise organizations.

- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the payments industry, including KYC, AML, and data protection laws across multiple jurisdictions.

- Ability to navigate compliance considerations in partnership agreements and implementations.

- Solid understanding of payment technologies, APIs, integration processes, and the technical aspects of B2B payment solutions

- Have experience and/or knowledge of the digital assets space and the latest developments especially on the institutional side

- You're a self-starter who can effectively mobilize, influence, and lead large, cross functional internal and external teams with strong leadership and executive communication.

- You enjoy engaging with internal and external stakeholders in matrixed organizations to get things done- if there's a hurdle, you know what levers to pull to work around it.

- You have a passion for understanding how products, tools and solutions work and able to articulate in simple compelling terms to business audience at senior levels.

- Have excellent project management and organizational skills to navigate large organizations

- Enjoy building relationships and preferably have industry relationships that you can leverage to get a head start on the job

- Fluent communication skills in English

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for meeting partners and attending industry events

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, tech or related fields, MBA or advanced degree is a plus

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
