This position is responsible for providing vision, leadership, planning, project coordination, and management to develop a cost-effective human resources information system (HRIS) while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the HR organization. To do this, you will collaborate with HR partners, various departments (i.e., IT), and outside vendors to develop efficient and effective processes and workflows as well as analyze and direct all functionally related activities within the scope of the HRIS. This position is accountable for ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users throughout the organization.

The Team

The Impact

Lead the HRIS configuration team working across the enterprise to further build out a strategic roadmap to deliver, evolve and enhance HR capabilities primarily focused on WorkDay and WorkDay Extend. Work to understand and prioritize demand, build out and maintain staffing and capacity models, and alleviate key person dependencies. Assure collaboration, prevent silos, seek and coordinate user input and direction as well as drive alignment throughout the organization demonstrating customer centricity and business expertise. Oversee and ensure the team follows appropriate security and delivery standards. Partner with business, technology and vendor teams. Candidate must have experience leading teams through change and transformation with a relentless focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities/Outcomes

  • Develop technology strategies and roadmaps, mapping to business needs
  • Attract, engage, develop team members
  • Create an environment that is proactive, agile, innovative, economical, collaborative and accountable
  • Coach, mentor and provide career guidance for all team members and build expertise within the team
  • Utilize data to assure functions, platforms, team are operating optimally; adjust and improve as needed
  • Ensure execution is aligned with best practices and standards are secure as per enterprise standards
  • Collaborate within and across organization to ensure all teams are aligned on priorities; own and facilitate advisory committee
  • Provides information to business and technology partners about product line improvement opportunities and collaborates with them to drive down costs and support capabilities
  • Demonstrate strong dedication to maintaining professional relationships with users and outside vendors
  • Drive the development of functional strategy
  • Manage demand, staffing capacity and facilitate prioritization and trade-offs decisions to assure optimal delivery to achieve business objectives
  • Interacts regularly with executives and/or key customers to provide consultation to influence and drive resolution to complex issues
  • Champions innovator opportunities which enhances the business by introducing, developing or offering breakthrough products, services or technology
  • Resolves problems which more often than not will significantly impact extending beyond department/organization


The Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of ten years of organizational leadership
  • 10+ years of leadership, project management, and/or technology delivery experience
  • 5+ years of HRIS and HR process/system improvement experience; 3+ years of experience managing HRIS implementations/enhancements
  • Must be analytical with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Continuous improvement mindset and a passion for measuring results through data and metrics
  • Must be highly self-motivated and able to handle multiple priorities
  • Experience handling sensitive, confidential organizational, department, and performance information
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; influencing and situational leadership prowess required
  • Strong financial acumen; experience with developing and maintaining budgets, business cases
  • Change and project management experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Deep experience in client relationship management; setting expectations and keeping commitments
  • Ability to work effectively with all organizational levels individually and as part of a team and to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with stress associated with a fast-paced work environment
  • Use considerable judgement and analysis to arrive at recommendations and conclusions


The Ideal Qualifications
  • Experience supporting variety of employee/human resource-based technology enablement (Customer Relationship Management, back office processing desirable)
  • Technical experience with Workday, Workday Extend and Integrations highly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Previous experience supporting technology for human resources and/or employee services preferred
