Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Materials Planning Manager will lead the enhancement and optimization of our ingredients and packaged materials processes. The Materials Planning Manager will instill accountability through KPIs, streamline operations for efficiency gains, prioritize and track cost-saving and avoidance measures, ensure inventory precision, oversee Master Data Management, and foster robust supplier relationships.

What You Will Do:

  • Introduce and hold the team accountable to KPIs including cost savings & avoidance, months of inventory coverage, fill rates, lead times, aging inventory and more
  • Lead and manage the Materials Planning team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship
  • Implement strategies to achieve cost savings including by negotiating with suppliers and collaborating with Marketing, Product Development, and U.S. Procurement and Materials Planning teams
  • Develop and implement robust processes for inventory reconciliation and cycle counting to improve month-end reconciliation efficiency while reducing and accurately tracking variances.
  • Forecast and reduce write-offs caused by aging inventory and/or item discontinuations
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. Conduct regular supplier business reviews to evaluate performance, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage master data including item and Bill of Materials creation and maintenance to ensure system accuracy and nurture trust in system processes.
  • Lead the setup and delivery of materials on time and in full to support innovation launches
  • Evaluate material planning processes and identify and act on improvement opportunities to support growth and increasing complexity
  • Ensure strong communication regarding the risk of late materials deliveries

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience managing a materials planning team in a multi-plant network
  • Minimum 5-8 years of supply chain and logistics experience in CPG or Beverage Industry
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mathematics, or Engineering preferred
  • Prior experience in Materials or Inventory Planning Processes
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Understanding of ERP functionality
  • Effective leadership and strategic influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions, business units and geographies - a strong background in a matrix organization is beneficial
  • Effective business systems thinker and a good understanding of business process knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others in a diverse environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate, negotiate and influence effectively with all levels of the organization to get results
  • Sound knowledge of process manufacturing, supply chain, and finance processes
