Our client, operates in the manufacturing and power technology industry is seeking a HSE Analyst - Level IV to join their team.  

Job Title: HSE Analyst - Level IV

Location: Charleston, SC (On-Site with possible Remote Work)

Pay Range: $30 - $34

Summary of the Position: Performs routine functions related to a site's environmental permit requirements and safety requirements, HSE objectives and targets, and the overall Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS). 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supports implementation and maintenance of the site HSEMS, control of significant aspects and risks, and achievement of HSE objectives/targets.

  • Supports regulatory compliance efforts and other programs applicable at the site, including stormwater management, employee training, recordkeeping/reporting, and other associated HSE programs. 

  • Monitors the day-to-day operations associated with pollution prevention, waste management, air quality, water quality, and related programs. 

  • Assists with internal and external HSE audits; resolves basic issues identified in audits; updates HSEMS documentation. 

  • Assigns training based on site safety training matrixes into the Cummins Learning Center. 

  • Extracts and distributes reports on training progress, audits, corrective actions, metrics, and other HSE-related data. 

  • Performs trend analysis for the Accelera HSE function. 

  • Prepares presentations for Accelera leadership using HSE data. 

  • Manages and updates the Accelera HSE SharePoint site. 

  • Organizes the Accelera HSE Teams page and keeps the team calendar updated. 

  • Organizes and distributes team meeting invites for the Accelera HSE team. 

  • Maintains and updates the Accelera HSE scorecard. 

  • Supports Accelera HSE sites with metrics reporting. 

  • Creates and maintains Accelera HSE-specific PowerBi reports. 

  • Organizes, maintains, and distributes safety alerts for the Accelera business. 

  • Assists with preparing Annual Operating Budgets for the Accelera HSE function. 

  • Coordinates Accelera HSE workshops and in-person meetings. 

  • Creates and submits purchase orders for the Accelera HSE function. 

Qualifications: 

  • Risk Assessment: Evaluates hazards within the work environment to analyze and prioritize risk and select control measures. 

  • HSE Management Systems: Applies international standards to maintain an effective management system and achieve external certification. 

  • Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis: Completes quality investigations with accurate root cause analysis for corrective actions. 

  • Health and Safety Fundamentals: Identifies and reports actions to improve health and safety and contribute to an injury-free workplace. 

  • Measurement and Evaluation of HSE Performance: Collects and analyzes data to create KPIs and deliver improvement goals. 

  • Work-Related Injury and Illness Management: Manages incidents, cares for affected employees, and ensures regulatory compliance. 

  • Regulatory Compliance Management: Identifies and manages legal and other requirements to ensure compliance. 

  • Communication Skills: Develops and delivers clear communication to different audiences. 

  • Planning and Alignment: Prioritizes work to meet organizational goals. 

  • Data Mining: Extracts insights from data and identifies patterns through data exploration and visualization techniques. 

Education & Experience: 

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific field required. 

  • 5-7 years of work experience required. 

  • Machine guarding experience, Lotto electrical safety, and risk assessment. 

  • CMSP preferred. 

  • Hands-on experience with HSE systems. 

  • Familiarity with STF, hoist and crane, confined space, ergonomics, and lockout/tagout skills. 

  • Strong computer skills, database management, and spreadsheet expertise 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Looking for a well-rounded HSE Analyst with strong experience. 

  • Must be able to handle large intakes of projects. 

  • Great communication skills via Teams, Email, Monday, and Slack. 

  • Ability to start on projects immediately. 

  • Training on Adobe suite will be provided. 

  • One week to get accustomed to all primo brands  

  • Ergonomics expertise
