Exciting opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2025 Global Internship Program as an Oncology Research & Development Intern in Baltimore, Maryland!
As a Labcorp intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that compliment an education in STEM+ Business and Healthcare disciplines and are inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe. About the Team:
- The PGDx LabCorp, research and development team is a close knit team who through team work deliver cancer diagnostic products to give Oncologist the information they need to make the best treatment decisions possible for patients with cancer.
Internship Assignment Summary:
- Become proficient in genomic library preparation and hybrid capture for targeted NGS testing.
- Gain a knowledge base of the development and design control process of diagnostic products.
- Work as a part of team to generate data in support of the developing an assay.
- Gain an understanding the types of analysis techniques used to support assay performance testing.
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
- Working towards bachelor's a degree in Biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related field
- At least 2 semesters of laboratory classes or wet lab bench work where pipette use was required.
Application Window: 9/30/24 - 10/11/24
Pay Range: $17-$20/hr
All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
