JOB DESCRIPTION
Ensure proper operation, maintenance and repair of all aspects of the buildings, equipment, and grounds except for major repairs and renovations. Maintain operational parameters and control operating costs. Exhibit general maintenance knowledge and provide service to all aspects of the facility and coordinate with management on the safety of all associates and the community in the event of an emergency involving federal regulated processes. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all corrective work orders are completed timely at 100% accuracy/control lost time between jobs and at breaks and shift changes

- Communicate/educate all associates to ensure a safe working environment and eliminate equipment downtime
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and address any item in need of maintenance
- Work closely with the Planner /Scheduler to ensure all weekly preventive maintenance is completed
- Create an environment of continuous improvement, quality and efficiency by frequently auditing jobs
- Work with management to determine root causes for damage/failures and recommend changes in procedure/training
- Develop a preventative maintenance culture that protects company assets and avoids reactionary crisis management
- Oversee routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and provide insight on what kind of maintenance is needed
- Promote safe work habits and a safe work environment that promotes zero accident rates
- Ensure all costs related to the operation and warehouse maintenance are at or below budgeted levels
- Ensure all labor, parts and work are reported daily through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Maintain a library of blueprints, operating manuals, proper operating procedures and other data for accurate information
- Develop/train mechanics/maintenance workers in their responsibilities
- Maintain high company standards of professionalism
- Create a competitive, responsive and informed workforce through good communication and involvement with the maintenance department
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience in distribution or manufacturing
- 7+ years proven maintenance experience with technical knowledge
- 2+ years of experience leading a team or project
- Demonstrate a high level of troubleshooting, comprehension and operational experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, CMMS
- Demonstrated ability to coach and train
- Strong understanding of industry/technical terms and processes
- Possess general maintenance knowledge and ability to properly repair/maintain all equipment and the facility overall
- Excellent analytical, communication and mechanical skills
