Kairos Power is a new nuclear energy technology and engineering company whose mission is to enable the world’s transition to clean energy, with the ultimate goal to dramatically improve people’s quality of life while protecting the environment. This goal will be accomplished through the commercialization of the fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactor (FHR) that can be deployed with robust safety, affordable costs, and flexible operation to accommodate the expansion of variable renewables.
Job Summary
Kairos Power is seeking a highly motivated Legal Intern for Summer 2025. This is an opportunity for students to gain insight to the legal field by working alongside Kairos Power’s in-house attorneys. You will be exposed to a variety of projects and work on matters often handled by paralegals and junior attorneys.

Responsibilities
- Execute routine processes, such as distributing documents and organizing electronic files
- Proofread and format correspondence, contracts, written policies, and other legal department documents for internal consistency and adherence to department protocols
- Attend meetings with internal and external participants, prepare written meeting notes, relay information, and assist in coordinating follow-up activities
- Gather and summarize statutes, regulations, case decisions, and legal articles
- Gather and synthesize factual information into concise summaries
- Assist in maintenance of contract clause database
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Students must have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies before start of internship and have a demonstrated interest in the legal field
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality

- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
- Communicating with others to exchange information
Environmental Conditions
- General office environment
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned

The hourly range for this position is $26 for employees working onsite at our Alameda, CA headquarters. The range provided in this job posting represents the typical range or starting rate of candidates hired in California. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, the market data for your work location, and a comparison to other employees already in the role.
