Within Raytheon's Legal, Contracts and Compliance function, the Strategy and International team supports a wide range of business activities related to Raytheon's portfolio of products in the international market with the goal of providing best in class legal support to Raytheon's business units and functional areas.
What You Will Do
- The selected intern will work as part of the Strategy and International Legal team supporting RAY's business, including the legal aspects of business strategy and execution of international programs, in the US and around the world. The successful candidate will be someone with exceptional abilities to review and analyze complex fact and legal situations, communicate responses and recommendations through verbal and written work product, and collaborate directly with RAY attorneys. What You Will Learn
- The Summer Legal Intern will research and advise on relevant legal questions and challenges posed by RAY's work in around the world and will be exposed to a wide-range of legal practice areas, including but not limited to: intellectual property, employment, international law and transactions, litigation, compliance, global trade, tax, immigration, corporate law.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Must be at least a first or second year law student by the start of summer 2025, pursuing a Juris Doctor degree with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Excellent analytical ability and legal drafting skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively across a large number of diverse internal groups, teams and divisions.
- A demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and manage multi-dimensional projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to research and learn new concepts and legal issues quickly to facilitate problem solving.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Attending an ABA accredited law school
- Works effectively in a team environment.
- Facility in a language other than English, including German, Arabic, Hindi, Polish, Romanian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, or Hungarian.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
