Vice President US Pay and Time Operations - India

You will work closely with existing global functional payroll operations team as well as cross functional stakeholders like HR, Tax, Benefits, HR Accounting to ensure end to end process optimization.

Job Summary

As Vice President US Payroll Operations India Lead within the Employee Experience team, you will be responsible for managing the execution of the US Payroll for over 170,000 employees. You will partner with the Time Operations, Tax and Leave of Absence team to ensure that payroll calculations are accurate and timely. You will also be responsible for managing operational support for all Payroll activities and develop world class Payroll Operations team that utilizes Oracle's Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud platform.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all payroll processing both On cycle and Off cycle; Funding, Leave of Absence Operations; Final Pay and Overpayments operations performed in the India Corporate Centre
  • Lead and manage the onsite India Operations team including interviewing and selection individual and team goal setting, performance evaluation and coaching in partnership with Operations Leaders
  • Ensure proper controls are in place for each process managed
  • Partner with Functional Operations Leaders and Product team related to Payroll needs and the execution of configuration, process improvement and efficiency
  • Partner closely with internal teams to ensure proper transfer of time to ensure payroll execution accuracy while having working knowledge of payroll wage and hour labor laws
  • Manage the employee experience and work collaboratively with our Servicing and Product team in the continuous improvement of our platform, building a culture of continuous improvement
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding payroll, LOA, Time, Final Pay related matters, address enquiries and provide timely and accurate information to management and employees
  • Provide solid documentation related to ongoing employee utilization, effectiveness and accuracy

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum of 8+ years progressive management experience in payroll, human resources (HR), Time or Human resource information systems(HRIS) with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Experience in processing US payroll
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to identify problems and systematically gather data, identify root cause and address data integrity issues as needed
  • Strong Excel skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Good judgement and decision making skills while working in time sensitive environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, collaborate across teams within Human Resource
  • Desire to innovate and improve processes with an eye towards automation
  • Oracle Fusion or Oracle Human Capital management (HCM) experience
