Senior Executive Accountability Regime Associate

Join the team responsible for firmwide implementation of Ireland's SEAR and the UK SMR. This includes engagement with regional senior management and governance leads to prepare and submit new Senior Manager applications, as well as oversight of regulatory initiatives and changes which impact the Firm's implementation of the Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR) and the UK Senior Managers Regime (SMR).

You'll be working in the team that is responsible for effectively assessing regulatory commitments owned by HR across all lines of business and corporate functions and completing certain deliverables and running ongoing processes.

In this role, which is focused on the SEAR, you will be focused on oversight of EMEA regulated employees end-to-end operating model for the SEAR and UK SMR.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the development and submission of PCF applications (including responding to regulator queries)
  • Draft and review updates to the Firm's Management Responsibility Maps (MRM) and PCF Statements of Responsibilities (SoR)
  • Develop and deliver inductions and ongoing training
  • Advise internal stakeholders on application of the SEAR rules and regulatory guidance
  • Identify and implement SEAR regulatory change
  • Prepare regulatory submissions and correspondence with the Firm's regulators
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including development and enhancement of team standard operating procedures and guidance
  • Report on implementation of SEAR across the Firm and prepare metrics on performance of the team
  • Maintain and update relevant SOPs, policies and procedures

  • Strong organisational skills, ability to work to tight deadlines and with competing priorities
  • Ability to understand and navigate regulatory requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work well across a team and with different stakeholders
  • Takes initiative and is proactive in raising issues or identifying opportunities for partnership and operational excellence
  • Problem solving skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with the SEAR and/or SMR would be desirable, although not essential
