As a Vice President in the Credit Product Delivery - Malaysia team, you will be responsible for driving the strategy of your team which supports execution for credit transactions, primarily focusing on lending instruments including term loans, working capital loans, trade financing and arranged overdrafts in India including successful delivery across infrastructure, operating model, resourcing, controls, and regulatory framework. In carrying out this role, you will leverage your vast experience, deep credit product knowledge and communication skills to facilitate and manage the deal lifecycle from mandate through to execution and serving as the first point of contact for Bankers, Trade Sales, Credit & Legal. Demonstrating strategic thought leadership, as well as delivery of best practices while providing transaction support (particularly for cross-border and complex transactions), and managing the document execution and deal closing process. You will also manage strategic enhancements and execute change initiatives on behalf of team and support management reporting.

Job responsibilities:
- Lead a team, act as a key point of escalation for day-to-day issues, manage resources, and workload of the team.
- Deliver best-in-class documentation negotiation management and transaction execution of credit facilities (both bilateral & syndicated loans) and ancillary documentation. Maintain oversight of the deal closing process
- Draw on expertise to suggest solutions for appropriate stakeholders (Bankers, Credit, Legal, Compliance, Operations, etc.) as necessary, to ensure they are brought into the deal in a timely manner to reach a resolution
- Manage controls framework, reporting and escalation for transaction execution, including preparing and coordinating documentation deviations and approvals during negotiations
- Build and manage the overall in-country resource plan, including recruitment where required and capacity planning in a changing environment
- Develop and own the location's performance-based metrics in support of established business & operational goals
- Work with local Regulators to meet and surpass the increasing demands of onshore data and processing requirements, and reporting transparency
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years' experience of Credit Administration/ Documentation Management/ Credit Execution demonstrating strong credit lending product knowledge; a thorough understanding of the transaction cycle of credit documentation; associated risks and regulatory requirements
- Strong decision-making capabilities, leadership and management abilities; able to build and lead effective, diverse teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; interact professionally and confidently with senior deal team members within the Front Office globally
- Think strategically and tactically to design process improvement ideas with the flexibility to adjust to new innovations, regulations, and priorities
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technology environment; must be a change leader
- Set high standards of performance for self and others, navigate uncertainty; have the confidence to make decisions and provide direction to individuals
- Attention to detail; understanding of the risks and downstream impacts of inaccurate data capture
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Familiarity with modern front end technologies and cloud technologies
- High degree of numeracy and aptitude for analytical examination of problems; attention to detail being paramount
- Ability to effectively maximize delivery of business goals and build better controls.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Melayu is preferred to liaise with stakeholders from Malaysia.
