Role Summary

Reporting to the Head of Finance, Monarch Platform, the Sr. Finance Manager, will work closely with the Monarch Supply Chain leadership team and will be responsible for setting up, managing, coordinating, and controlling all finance & accounting-related activities for Monarch Clara manufacturing. The Role will be based at Medtech Santa Clara CA site.

In addition, this candidate will work with the R&D, GSM and PMO teams to model the cost of products in the development pipeline to ensure alignment with project cost targets. The candidate will also be supporting the business with strategic initiative across Monarch Supply Chain.

This candidate must have a strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting processes and a track record of process setup and improvement to support scalability and reporting accuracy. Importantly, this individual must be a strong cross-functional team player working with Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, Facilities, and other functions in the company.

A successful candidate should have proven success at partnering with multifunctional teams with a clear focus on results and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, coordinate and control all financial-related activities at the manufacturing site (e.g. profitability analysis, cost setting, CapEX, Product costing, inventory management etc.)
  • Drive strategies, e.g. modeling of GP roadmap and developing plans to achieve those targets.
  • Oversee direct and indirect manufacturing budgets
  • Evaluates and monitors capital expenditures. Integrates financial data for operations into the overall company plan.
  • Analysis of financial impact of new work methods or processes
  • Makes recommendations for new or improved Operations Accounting Policies as it relates to manufacturing activity. Provides directions for the preparation of manufacturing and administration budgets, standard cost and special projects.
  • Directs the developments of standard product cost based on specification developed with production and planning personnel.
  • Assist production management in establishing factors for material waste and yield, direct labor and manufacturing burden budgets.
  • Participates with manufacturing to control and reduce cost by analyzing and interpreting cost reports and assisting in developing cost reduction programs.
  • Owns the preparation of financial forecasts and consolidation and distribution of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, return on investment and other financial problems
  • Responsible for presenting business-related issues or opportunities to management
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a Finance or Accounting Major. MBA and / or CPA, preferred.
  • 7 to 10 years in financial operations, including 5 years of supervisory and management experience.
  • Deep Cost Accounting experience in the Medical Device Industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of specific business practices and software and software applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, ability to quickly organized data to insights and presentation skills are required
  • Proven Business partnering skills & influencing decisions at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize projects.
  • Prior experience working in a global matrixed organization

The base pay range for this position is $136,000-$234,140. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
