Opportunity to be Senior Finance Manger for a new Product Line within Edison Works. This is a great opportunity to use financial and project manager skills to establish processes and procedures, and gain upper management exposure.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Finance Leader for multiple GE sites (Bohemia, NY and Newark, DE)
  • Up to 20% travel required.
  • Work closely with Accounting team to ensure proper financial reporting
  • Responsible for financial forecasting
  • Responsible for understanding contractual requirements
  • Partner with Management team
  • Work with the operations team to manage strategy, budget, forecasting, monthly operating reviews, and close activities.
  • Partner with program management team to develop strategy and financials for major projects / contracts.
  • Monitor actual project / contract cost vs. plan / forecast and identify suggestions to improve profitability and cashflow.
  • Use lean and automation to identify and support the implementation of process improvements for financial forecasting, planning, reporting, and systems
  • Effectively communicate financials and objectives to leadership.
  • Perform special analysis of major issues as required and recommend solutions to complex business issues. May lead projects with cross functional teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 7 years of experience in financial management, project management and/or Earned Value Management.
  • Ability to obtain a US Federal Government security clearance.

The base pay range for this position is $110,000-$145,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on January 21, 2025.
