Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Design Specialist to join our dynamic, high performance and global communications team.

The Senior Design Specialist will be a key member of the global communications shared services team and will be instrumental to our global rebranding and brand positioning programs, developing creative multimedia solutions across all touchpoints and channels, further developing our brand, ensuring brand consistency, whilst continuously supporting the business and the markets, and providing multimedia design to support storytelling.

Your Responsibilities

  • End-to-end conception, planning, organizing, and executing of creative design projects.
  • Understanding and managing design-related requests, in the context of the overall brand development and organizational storytelling.
  • Proactively manage internal business, functional and market stakeholder requests and work with partner agencies.
  • Continued development of the branding strategy, guidelines, design asset libraries.
  • Create and advise on visual concepts, communicate ideas that inspire, inform and captivate customers.
  • Provide training on internal brand touchpoints ensuring that internal stakeholders understand brand guidelines.
  • Produce high quality variety of digital and printed design, videos and motion graphics, aligned with corporate image.
  • Living the Hitachi Energy's core values of integrity, in significance taking responsibility for own actions while caring for other colleagues and the business.
  • Be the lead design support for Executive Communication-related projects to help drive successful strategies and foster stakeholder engagement of top management and Thought Leadership activities. This includes:
    • Create visually impactful presentations that may need to convey complex information
    • Transform data, facts and company messaging into compelling visuals that captivate executives and their target audiences.
    • Collaborate closely with C-suite executives and their teams, understanding their preferences and communication styles.
    • Provide guidance on slide design, delivery, and handling
  • Ensures operational efficiency and effective collaboration to an assigned Managed Services team and other externally hired content and design support services with the following responsibilities:
    • Delegate tasks and set deadlines.
    • Coach and provide guidance on effective and strategic insight to designs.
    • Facilitate problem-solving within the team.
    • Track and provide regular reports to management (team performance, status updates)
  • Report on 1pm to 10pm shift PH Time (to be confirmed)

Your Background

  • You bring 5+ years of experience working as part of a creative team (agency or in-house).
  • A degree in Fine Arts, Multimedia Design, or equivalent.
  • Proven design expertise, ideally in B2B context and across brand touchpoints (portfolio).
  • Mastery of design graphic design software such as Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator; video editing software like Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects; familiarity with Adobe Animate.
  • Proficient in creating high impact PowerPoint presentations is a big plus.
  • Strong aesthetic skills.
  • Strong intercultural skills and international work experience, with global brands.
  • Deep knowledge of project management processes and ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring timely execution and owning the end-to-end process.
  • Motivated, knows how to keep calm under pressure, consultative and advisory skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; other languages are a plus.
