General Information:
The Structured On-the-Job Training (S-OJT) Process Leader will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of standardized S-OJT tools and processes across multiple operational sites. This role is crucial in ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with industry best practices to support operational excellence and our Integrated Transformer Management (ITM) System. The S-OJT Process Leader will collaborate with site teams, focus factories, and other stakeholders to accelerate the deployment of S-OJT programs, ensuring effective, high-quality training delivery that meets business goals.
Your Responsibilities:
- Process Standardization: Lead and implement standardized S-OJT processes across various sites, ensuring consistency in training methodologies and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for refining and improving S-OJT tools and processes, ensuring they align with the latest industry trends and operational needs. Leverage the ITM System tools and standards, ensuring alignment with Standard Work, as well as critical to Safety and Quality controls and process standards.
- Program Implementation: Partner with site teams and focus factories to accelerate the deployment of S-OJT programs, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including training departments, operations, ITM Leaders, Process Engineers, and HR, to align S-OJT processes with broader organizational goals and operational requirements. Partner with Factory Managers and Factory leadership teams on driving urgency to the overall S-OJT implementation and strategy.
- Training Quality Assurance: Ensure that training programs are delivered to a high standard, meeting the operational goals of each site and ensuring a skilled and competent workforce.
- Best Practice Integration: Stay informed of industry best practices in on-the-job training and incorporate relevant strategies into the HUB's overall training process. Work with all factory teams to drive the one best way to execute and continually improve the S-OJT process.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key metrics related to training effectiveness and operational performance, using data-driven insights to recommend improvements.
- Change Management: Drive adoption and ownership of new S-OJT tools and processes by providing support, training, and communication to site leaders and trainers.

Your Background:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, with a focus on on-the-job training, training program implementation, or process improvement, including experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry best practices in structured on-the-job training within a manufacturing or operational environment.
- Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills with experience leading process standardization or training implementation projects across multiple sites.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across various teams and locations.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and adapt to the needs of different sites and teams.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to various site locations as required to support program deployment and continuous improvement initiatives (Greater than 50% travel).
- Preferred Skills:
- LMS Proficiency: Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for tracking and managing training programs.
- Data Analysis: Strong data analysis skills to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and processes.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive process improvements in a matrixed organization.
- Experience working in a Lean management system (or Lean operating/ production system) including Toyota Production System, Honeywell Operating System, Danaher Business System, or similar.
