Description and Requirements

Job Overview: High-impact technology senior lawyer to work with lead AI counsel and global legal and regulatory team to understand, influence, and interpret global regulations and laws with respect Artificial Intelligence as they apply to Lenovo's business and products, assist worldwide multifunction team in implementing compliance processes, and provide counsel to diverse client groups regarding legal and regulatory matters relating to artificial intelligence generally.

Job Responsibilities (Essential functions and duties):

  • Understand and interpret global legal and regulatory requirements as they apply to Artificial Intelligence and Lenovo's operations and products
  • Work with internal and external government relations professionals and outside counsel to strategically engage with relevant regulators and agencies
  • Assist global legal and compliance team in developing and implementing compliance measures
  • Provide advice and support to diverse clients groups regarding AI legal matters
  • Work seamlessly with global legal team as a subject matter expert on AI law
  • Negotiate agreements with vendors, customers, and technology partners with respect to AI services, products, and technologies

Basic Qualifications:

  • JD and admission to practice
  • 12+ years of counseling, drafting and negotiation experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably focused on AI, software, SaaS, and related technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with legal and regulatory interpretation with respect to advanced technology
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal interaction, including with executives in a highly customer-satisfaction focused environment
  • Developed critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills, with a willingness to get into the details of complex problems and drive creative solutions
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, with outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
  • Demonstrated exceptional judgment, integrity and ability to give practical advice appropriately weighing legal and business objectives
  • A strong team player who can work well with colleagues in all functional groups
  • Committed to his/her personal growth and development by actively seeking feedback and responding with constructive action

Travel Requirements:

  • Frequent (1-2 per month) travel within EU, and occasional international travel

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $170K - 220K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo's various benefits can be found on [1] www.lenovobenefits.com.
