Mission Statement:

This role is responsible for leading, developing and coaching the Sales organization proactively, to exceed the sales targets through high performance in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Plan and ensure execution of Division, Business Unit and Product Group sales strategy for assigned area, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems, and/or services in a profitable way.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will create, plan, and implement sales strategy, and strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with global sales strategy.
  • You will achieve sales targets in respect of both budgets and sales efficiency.
  • You will identify market coverage requirements and 'right sizes' sales team to ensure opportunities at existing and potential new customers are captured to enable growth in orders and market coverage.
  • You will establish sales targets and ensures sales achievement through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed.
  • You will own, develop, maintain, and regularly monitor the order FC for area of responsibility.
  • You will coordinate the flow of information for sales activities and evaluates data to ensure achievement of goals. Works with the Market Managers to update to the Marketing and Sales organization on market intelligence and drive market strategy.
  • You will be key participant in Hitachi Energy's market sounding processes: MIMO / GTS / MMP
  • You will support the development of strong relationships with key customers.
  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers. Ensures efficient marketing communications.
  • You must ensure achievement of sales volume and product mix targets. Participates on negotiations of key contracts. Manages ongoing costs.
  • You will monitor client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams. Identifies and manages potential risks.
  • You will take ownership of the sales processes, and all relevant training and development plans, actions, and programs.
  • You will be responsible for the development of the opportunity pipeline and the accuracy of the opportunity data contained in the CRM tool.
  • You must ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaches, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
  • You will Lead, drive, and hold itself accountable for the highest standards of health, safety, and environment to ensure Zero Harm is achieved. Responsible for compliance with relevant HSE policy and procedures, ensuring proactive risk assessments take place and corrective actions monitored/followed up. Build an injury, incident, near miss and hazard reporting culture within your team, guaranteeing reported incidents will be investigated and action taken.
