GXO is looking for an innovative person with a passion for Warehouse and Inventory management and a focus on emergency management logistics. The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for planning and preparing the logistics needs and support that would be able to contribute to GXO's Disaster Logistics planning and response efforts that are critical to keeping our operations running smoothly.

The annual salary range for this role is $88151 - $132227 / YEAR. GXO, in good faith, believes this is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New Jersey. This rate may be modified in the future. What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Collaborating closely with customer Logistics Program Managers to execute all aspects of the Emergency Supply Stockpile (ESS) Program
  • Supporting the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the ESS program
  • Providing strategic logistics vision, with practical solutions, to support emergency plans and response efforts
  • Supervising onsite staff to conduct inbound and outbound shipping, receiving, inventory kitting, warehouse organization and configuration
  • Conducting inventory management and SKU map updates
  • Executing Wave Plan operations the customer uses to select, mobilize, and deploy supplies
  • Attending coordination meetings and training exercises with customer staff and leadership
  • Coordinating with internal and external partners on tasks, resource requests, site visits and facility upgrades
  • Conducting tasks, collaborating with contracted vendors, tracking quotes, invoices, deliveries, and Bills of Lading
  • Developing exercises with customer for long-term facilitated discussions and exercise opportunities with all partners
  • Serving as a program manager in an on-call basis
What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:
  • 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
It'd be great if you also have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field
  • 4years of managerial/supervisory experience
  • Experience in Third-Party Logistics (3PL), Warehouse and Inventory Management, Project and Program development, Technology program management
  • Superior written and oral communications skills
  • Experience in Emergency Management and Disaster Relief
  • Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a high-pressure work environment
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to drive
This job requires the ability to:
  • Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights
  • Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
  • Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
  • Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
