Here at GXO Northampton, we are looking for a Transport Network Planner to come and join us at our site. You will be working Monday - Friday, 09:30-18:00, however flexibility will be required, this is logistics after all!

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Planning peak schedules to ensure the network is correctly resourced and additional costs are aligned with the budget
- Ensure vehicles across the network are planned to be fully utilised and reduce vehicles scheduled per day per site
- Complete analysis of the planned KPI's vs actual vs budget. Any variations to plan need to be challenged/understood
- Control costs in line with budgets and propose initiatives that will support cost reductions
- Communicate with colleagues, managers, internal and external contacts as required to ensure effective two-way communication exists to support achievement of agreed customer service levels
What skills you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience within a planning or operations environment that demonstrates the capability to schedule and implement a paragon schedule
- Results orientated, willing to take ownership for achieving targets
- Financially and commercially aware
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement
