Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking/private equity/venture capital, corporate strategy, sales operations, or equivalent experience in a technology/media company.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Understanding of the engaged and regulatory landscape in the SEAS region.
  • Ability to tolerate ambiguity and work in a fluid environment, with an entrepreneurial approach to identify risks and opportunities, adopts different perspectives, and quickly responds to changing circumstances strategically.
  • Excellent executive influence and cross-functional stakeholder management, building relationships and leadership through influence.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving and investigative skills and leading strategy to execution, managing a large portfolio of growth or transformation projects.
  • Excellent tactical, creative and investigative skills to solve issues and generate mid to long-term solutions.

About the job

As the Country Operations Manager for Google Southeast Asia and Pakistan (SEAS), you will partner with executive leadership, collaborate on initiatives with internal teams leadership group, while partnering with the cross-functional leadership teams (e.g., Public Policy, Marketing, Site, Comms, Cloud, Legal etc.), to define and activate the SEAS Velocity plan to protect Google's licence to operate in the region by positively influencing reputation, relationships and regulation.The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as trusted advisor to the SEAS Country Vice President (VP) and sub-regional Velocity teams, as subject matter expert with a thorough understanding of the landscape, risks and opportunities within and across the SEAS region.
  • Lead Velocity planning and strategy, translate goals into agreed tangible actions with cross-functional stakeholders, and play an instrumental role in supporting execution.
  • Define the Velocity operating model, and monitor progress to deliver on Velocity annual plan and goals across SEAS. Partner across functions to identify synergies and opportunities to enhance Google's overall Velocity efforts.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Velocity program and cross-functional team (e.g., governance, meetings, information flow, tracking, etc). Own and drive selected priority and complex projects.
  • Support the SEAS VP in leading the sub-regional cross Product Area forum, including defining objectives and identifying key opportunities for collaboration.
