Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in Management Consulting or product management and strategy or analytics functions at a technology company.
- Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects.
- Experience in setting or executing pricing strategy.
- Experience with value pricing and engaged pricing in the Cloud/IT technology space.
- Experience with Cloud/IT infrastructure technology.
- Knowledge of the business value drivers of Cloud/IT infrastructure products.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across executive stakeholders in Product, Finance, and GTM/Sales organizations.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google's functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.
Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. The Business Planning and Commercialization team owns Strategic Packaging and Pricing for all of Google Cloud, including Google Workspace, AI/ML and industry-specific solutions.
The team provides the knowledge to ensure optimal business generation for all new and existing products and solutions by driving innovation in Packaging/Bundling, Pricing architectures, Policies, Programs and contractual structures. The team also ensures the implementation of business generation innovation from strategic design to implementation and commercialization.
As a Business Planning and Pricing Principal, you will drive innovation through Google Cloud's business generation strategy, business models, and pricing for Google Cloud products. You will shape the business and commercial strategies for critical product areas, and will design policies and structures with product managers, sales partners, and go-to-market leads. You will influence senior leaders to ensure commercialization and business generation of product innovations.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Google Cloud's leadership across functions to prioritize and define innovative packaging and pricing architecture for cloud offerings.
- Create business generation principles, frameworks and policies at scale across key product portfolios.
- Develop and leverage competitive and customer insights to inform business generation strategies, establish pricing policies and structures across customer segments and channel structures.
- Leverage policies and structures to ensure customer retention of products and solutions, and use them as a strategic lever to differentiate Google Cloud and drive market disruption, and drive recommendations for commercialization of services and solutions, as well as related cross-cloud initiatives.
- Ensure on-going refinement of pricing frameworks, policies, and strategies based on quantitative performance assessments and market changes as well as customer and sales feedback.
