Job Description Summary
Require in-depth knowledge within Network Engineering and Operations technical domain in addition to understanding how network impacts GE Vernova's core technical products in infrastructure - e.g. network, digital workplace, cloud and hosting. You will manage GEVN Core WAN connectivity (backbone, POPs, segmentation, cloud peering) and Core LAN (data center LAN, DMZ, load balancing). You will work closely with MSP, Architects and Network Program Management office to coordinate technical delivery of core network build and operations activities. You will partner and provided technical guidance for MSP to deliver service excellence and continuous improvement. You will manage Core infrastructure obsolescence and vulnerability patching and you will establish strong collaboration with network architecture team members to design new core network solutions in HQ to be consumed b GEV business units.

Job Description
In this role you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain data center LAN and enterprise core network infrastructure
- Configure and optimize Cisco (IOS and NX-OS) and F5 devices for maximum performance and reliability
- Manage and troubleshoot complex routing protocols, including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and segment routing
- Implement and maintain multiple VRF (Virtual Routing and Forwarding) environments
- Build and support VXLAN EVPN
- Work on automation projects for repeatable tasks and to maintain standards
- Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards and GE Vernova's security policies
- Perform network upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers
Technical Expertise
Networking Protocols and Technologies:
- TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, VPC
- EIGRP, OSPF, BGP (including MP-BGP), ISIS
- VRF, VXLAN, EVPN
- QoS, GRE, IPsec
Hardware and Software:
- Cisco routers and switches (Nexus series, Catalyst series)
- F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a technical area (Operations, Architecture, Software, or Information Technology) or (a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of experience in Information Technology or Software).
Desired Characteristics:
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCIE,CCNP, F5 Certified)
- Experience with software-defined networking (SDN)
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques
- Familiarity with network automation tools such Ansible
