Job Description Summary

Global Controller of Aero Alliance, a joint-venture (JV) owned 50% by GE Vernova and 50% by Baker Hughes with an yearly revenue of ~1$B. This role will be reporting to the CFO of the JV.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

In this role, the Aero JV Controller will:

  • Be supporting the Aero JV CEO and CFO in managing the overall controllership environment of Aero JV;
  • Ensure controllership and consistency of accounting processes, support driving controllership awareness throughout the operating team, ensure financial compliance and uphold JV's commitment to integrity;
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of the financial closing and reporting, ensuring proper monitoring mechanisms on the Balance Sheet, revenue recognition, inventory and controls;
  • Drive smooth implementation of Aero Alliance Accounting Policies and ensure alignment with and between GEV/BKR requirements, being key contact for internal/external financial audits;
  • Liaise with Tax team to identify tax optimization initiatives and coordinate their execution
  • Initiate and support process improvements and supports finance systems and control implementations;
  • Managing Accounts Payable organization and day to day activities, including ensuring payments are recorded and accurate;
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment and manage the JV account reconciliation process, driving improvements period over period;
  • Work effectively with different stakeholders (Operations, outsourced teams and other finance functions) inside and outside the JV to proactively drive key initiatives to successful conclusion.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field;
  • Extensive and proven experience in a controllership/financial audit position;
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities,
  • Fluency in English, Italian language nice to have
  • Availability to travel 10% of the time (mainly to US);

For US candidates only:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field;
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a controllership/financial audit position;
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities,
  • Fluency in English, Italian language nice to have
  • Availability to travel 10% of the time

Desired Characteristics

  • Big 4 auditing experience is preferred;
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred;
  • FMP/CAS graduate;
  • Effective leader / influencer at within the organization;
  • Ability to work with teams across functions and around the globe;
  • Ability to execute across multiple priorities independently & decisively;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels;
  • Preferred knowledge of Foxtrot/Oracle system.
