- Responsible for SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) and Productivity within the production area.
- Responsible for driving internal and external customer satisfaction and positive customer relationships through on time delivery of quality product.
- Responsible for delivering continuous improvement activity and projects to meet operational targets.
- Responsible for building and maintaining high engagement of employees within the production area.
- Drive continuous improvements through FLIGHT DECK and utilise problem solving tools to drive improvement actions
- Support Business Leader in growing and developing the production area.
- To deputise for Business Leader as required.

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide area leadership and liaise with support areas (Lean, Quality, Planning, EHS, HR etc ) in the setting of KPIs and achievement of goals with respect to SQDC and Productivity
- Act as a people leader for cell leaders within the production area.
- Responsible for managing day to day capacity planning in the business area and liaising with the Planning team to monitor and make required changes to the area capacity plan
- Pursue state of the art technology and processes to enhance product/process predictability and deliver quality requirements
- Responsible for monitoring production targets including TAT, productivity and labour hours and developing metrics to align with each
- In conjunction with the Business Leader select, hire, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction to assigned personnel (Cell Leaders and hourly employees) and drive employee engagement
- Leadership and support of Quality approval cycle in line with area of responsibility.
- Promote labour flexibility throughout the area
- Maintain a culture of compliance and integrity and promote the GE Beliefs within the teams
- Interface with other organisations and key stakeholders to ensure production requirements are met
- Ensure communication of key business / customer issues to employees and promote two way communication
- Support Business Leader in the strategic development and planning of manpower, equipment and other resources to meet business demands
- Embrace FLIGHT DECK: Respect for people. Drive continuous improvement through problem solving continuum and ensuring a robust Kaizen funnel for Production through Genba and collaboration with site Lean Leadership
- Deputise for Business Leader and cover for Cell Leader role as required
Qualifications/Responsibilities
- Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role including process improvement tools/productivity tools and Lean problem solving tools
- Track record of managing and coaching high performing teams, driving team engagement and individual development
- Strong interpersonal, coaching and leadership skills
- Ability to cope with pressure
- Ability to challenge status quo
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Desired Characteristics
- Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, and standard cost systems
- Prior experience with regulatory agencies and knowledge of requirements
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong problem solving and organisational skills
