The Global HR Compliance Leader acts as the go-to expert for all things related to people compliance and policies, providing strategic guidance to ensure an empowered, engaged, and inspired workforce. Stay ahead of the curve and identify emerging legislative trends and facilitate compliance reporting requirements in partnership with the Reporting CoE. Will drive positive change and build and maintain strong partnerships with leaders and teams at all levels to create a culture of trust, transparency, and collaboration. Will standardize for success by developing, reining and implementing standardized people compliance-related policies, procedures, and practices to drive consistency, fairness, and simplicity across the organization. In addition, the Global HR Compliance leader will navigate challenges, handling people people compliance and policy matters with confidence, integrity, and forward-thinking solutions that strengthen our organization.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee two compliance professionals responsible for U.S. and global market
  • Identify and evaluate EEO/Affirmative Action and other HR Compliance related areas/trends and their impact to GE Aerospace stakeholders
  • Create, revise and curate global HR compliance policies, processes and measures to comply with legal requirements and/or identified risks but also minimize impact on business operations
  • Triage and allocate incoming employee non-policy concerns (Category 3) for continuous improvement and performance management purposes
  • Implement strategies, tools, and trainings to educate employees, drive HR Compliance, and promote accountability across the GE Aerospace organization
  • Recommend appropriate action as subject matter expert/point of escalation on various HR Compliance topics and related Company policies/processes
  • Collaborate with HR and Shared Service partners on the need for and development and/or outsourcing of HR training programs, including course and job aid content, delivery methodology and evaluation of training effectiveness
  • Identify HR Compliance process improvement opportunities and lead cross-functional teams to execute improvement plans
  • Respond to external RFP, government audits (e.g. EEOC, OFCCP, USCIS) and other requests that relate to HR Compliance policies and practices
  • Maintain close working relationship with internal and external legal counsel, HR Business Partners and other key stakeholders.
  • Support the Drug Free Workplace policy in region, partnering with the Drug Free Workplace (DFWP) Business Focal/Team
  • Create and deliver proactive communication, education, and training materials related to HR Compliance matters in partnership with Learning and Communications teams as required

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of relevant experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR Compliance
  • Previous people leadership experience, preferably in a complex, global company

Desired Characteristics:

  • Deep knowledge in HR compliance and the ability to recommend appropriate actions and serve as a point of escalation
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Established project management skills; Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel and HR business partners.
