Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an Senior Manager, Global People Communications located in US Remote or Austin, TX On Site.

The Senior Manager will set the internal communications strategy, execute campaigns in support of Human Resources, Sustainability, and Ethics, and oversee the strategic and programmatic (not technical) operations of the HR Portal, our platform to communicate both global and local HR program information.

A strong collaborator, influencer, and organizer, the leader will shape and deliver HR, Sustainability, and Ethics communications that inform and engage our workforce of 140,000 employees worldwide. An integral role in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment, success requires the ability to manage multiple programs at once - from strategic planning and tactical execution through measurement of success - while building strong partnerships across a wide spectrum of stakeholders.

This role will report to the Director, Function & Operations Communications and will work closely with our Function Communications Specialist.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Partner closely with HR, Sustainability, and Ethics to understand their function strategy and priorities, provide strategic counsel, and create and execute campaigns in support of employees, our business, and the functions.
  • Define goals, set objectives and work in close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver, measure and adapt.
  • Lead with an enterprise mindset, while prioritizing employee needs and delivering messages with speed, quality and clarity. Own and deliver communications planning, messaging, production (coordinating with a Creative Services team) delivery, and measurement.
  • Ensure communications are strategically positioned for impact and relevance, with audience and message segmentation, thoughtful timing and consolidation, and creative delivery of content.
  • Deliver information and engage with employees in multiple formats ranging from messaging and positioning documents to memos, intranet site content, presentations, infographics, talking points and FAQs, VivaEngage social posts, live and pre-recorded webinars, townhalls, and more.
  • Work in very close alignment and partnership with the rest of the communications team including business and corporate news, on storytelling, thought leadership, and integration of key messages.
  • Strategically manage the current and future of the HR Portal, including working with team members for daily updates and maintenance, and setting and managing the path forward.
  • Ideate, plan, write, edit, publish, measure, analyze, consult, build relationships, and influence stakeholders.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Results-oriented professional, with proven experience applying strategic communication frameworks (e.g., Know, Believe, Do and Smart Brevity) with 10+ years of strategic communications experience in a global organization.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Exceptional planning, writing, and editing skills. Familiarity with Associated Press (AP) writing and grammar style.
  • To be a self-starter who also loves to collaborate and is a good team player.
  • Creativity, speed, and flexibility to adapt, quickly.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive execution across multiple channels and audiences.
  • Solid business acumen, sound decision-making, leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Accountability and strong project management experience with demonstrated ability to successfully take projects, programs, and campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Ability to monitor, measure, analyze, and distill metrics/data into reports that provide insights and evaluate the effectiveness of communications.
  • Familiarity with the creative services process, including the development of creative briefs and traffic management.
  • Experience managing intranets, producing newsletters, email campaigns, blogs, videos, social media content and executive communications.
  • Familiarity with modern CommTech tools such as ActOn, Poppulo, SharePoint, Viva Engage, ClickUp, Asana, Airtable, etc. is a plus.
