The Team

Fidelity's Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations Distributed Compute and Storage Team is looking for a VP, Software Engineering, to lead the Infrastructure as a Service team. We are a dynamic group of professionals working to automate our infrastructure platforms and provide self-service capabilities for Fidelity's applications teams. Our goal is to make infrastructure platforms easier to manage and easier to consume for our technology partners.

As a Team Lead supporting Fidelity's Distributed Compute and Storage software engineering teams, you will be responsible for driving feature development of core infrastructure services, as well as overseeing existing software delivery responsibilities including managing lifecycle activities, leading the team to explore automation opportunities and working with technology partners to determine future product requirements. You will be a key leader in Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations and will collaborate with technology leaders and business leaders across Fidelity.

The Expertise You Have

  • 10-15+ years' experience in IT across a broad range of technologies, with 5-10 years specific experience in working in software engineering and software engineering leadership
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure and building infrastructure automation, integration and private cloud solutions is preferred
  • Directly interacting with technology business partners and managing expectations
  • Ability to effectively work in a global team environment characterized by rapid change and high availability targets (24x7 operations and support)
  • Direction and oversight for approximately 25 software engineers, across the US and India
  • Experience in implementing and supporting enterprise products and solutions
  • Experience in building enterprise tools in mission critical environments
  • Problem identification and resolution skills
  • Good interpersonal and team skills across all organization levels and multiple organizations
  • Collaborative approach to gain consensus and support
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Good co-ordination and delegation skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
