Overview
The AI & Decision Product Enablement team enables industry leading AI and decisioning based products for market facing programs with business agility and deliver with resiliency, availability, and global scale. We are looking for a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead our Rules Decision Tooling internal product team along with other products for the Decision Management Program (DMP). DMP products deliver industry-leading intelligence with business agility at global scale to power over 40 market facing products across the MA network while processing billions of transactions per day. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, a strategic thinker, a strong partner and leader.

Role
• Lead and scale the Rules Decision Tooling platform-a critical enabler for intelligent, real-time decisioning across Mastercard's ecosystem.
• Set the technical vision and execution strategy, aligning closely with business and product stakeholders.
• Responsible for business execution including objective setting, performance management, recruiting, and coaching
• Own all aspects of delivery, from roadmap definition and execution to performance management, hiring, and coaching of engineering talent.
• Champion innovation, encourage a culture of experimentation.
• Collaborate with product leaders and enterprise architects to drive alignment between technology capabilities and strategic business objectives.
• Ensure engineering excellence across your organization by setting standards for code quality, architecture, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Define and implement metrics to monitor platform scalability, resiliency, and engineering productivity.

All About You
• Professional presence, excellent relationship management skills, self-motivated and effectively works with others at all levels of the organization including senior leaders, executive management and external clients
• Drive for Results: built a strong and capable organization to deliver on commitments.
• Have been responsible for complex high scale distributed systems, decision engines,
and working with or building real time data stream solutions.
• Experienced building supportable platforms serving multiple users (e.i., end
customers, internal business operations, technical management).
• Are a respected technologist and proven leadership development coach, as evidenced
by the high quality of their recruiting efforts and direct reports
• Have led an engineering organization of at least 50 engineers within a
successful technology company
• Have a proven ability to lead, inspire and engage a large team of highly professional
and technical engineering professionals to greater levels of collaboration,
development and performance.
• Have a track record of establishing engineering rigor and rapidly delivering
world-class consumer software platforms and applications
• Expertise with large scale distributed systems and platforms
• Are adept with lightweight processes and Agile development
• Have skills to evaluate practices, metrics, and roles to continually optimize SDLC methodologies and automate processes to improve lead time and quality

Pay Ranges
Vancouver, Canada: $200,000 - $320,000 CAD
