Job Description:
The Role
Fixed Income Trade Support Senior Analyst plays a key role, working alongside Fidelity Underwriters, Traders, and Sales personnel to support critical functions for new issue and secondary products including Municipal bonds, Certificates of Deposit, Unit Investment Trusts, Corporate Notes/Bonds, and Government Sponsored Agencies.
Analysts interact with numerous internal Fidelity business units, other broker dealers, correspondents, and plan sponsors to ensure flawless trading, execution, settlement, and record retention.
- Ensure timely settlement for secondary trade transactions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing for customer allocations.
- Ensure timely and accurate Regulatory Reporting.
- Facilitate resolution for electronic trade exceptions including cancellation requests or processing errors.
- Assisting the desks with various record keeping and audit inquiries.
- Vigilantly and continuously trying to identify areas of improvement and be a part of developing the plan to implement change. This is a critical component to the role.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- SIE, Series 7 and 63 (if not currently registered, such exams must be completed within six months of hire)
- Brokerage industry experience, preferably in trading or back-office operations
- Work well and have demonstrated the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading floor environment.
- You have a strong attention to detail, are proactive, analytical, and able to multitask.
- Effective communication skills a must.
- You must have a 'risk mitigation' mindset.
- Fixed income knowledge is preferred, but not required.
- Bloomberg experience is a plus.
- Strong proficiency with excel.
