Job Description:
Fidelity Capital Markets (FCM) seeks a Municipal Finance professional to support the growth of our co-managed negotiated business. FCM is the conduit to the new issue market for our individual and professional retail clients across the enterprise and seeks to ensure regular and ongoing access through both competitive and co-managed negotiated transactions. FCM intends to grow our participation in the negotiated new issue space primarily as a co-managed underwriter.
This position will help to build and grow our municipal finance coverage and issuer relationships and in turn help to ensure our retail investors have access to a wealth of issuers bonds. You will serve as the primary point of contact for most issuer clients, manage the RFP process, and coordinate with the underwriting desk, compliance and market strategy and other internal business partners to facilitate access and engagement.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience required (advanced degree a plus)
- A minimum of 5+ years of within the public finance space.
- Experience with issuer coverage, the new issue transaction process, municipal credits and bond structures.
- Understanding of and ability to manage and respond to RFPs and/or similar procurement requirements.
- Ability to advocate for retail-friendly issuance strategies (structures, order periods, priority).
- Ability to collaborate productively and proactively with internal partners (underwriting, trading, compliance, risk, retail channels)
- Comfort with and the ability to participate as expected in the origination process (due diligence meetings, POS review, syndicate calls, etc.)
- Development and delivery of education and marketing strategies that support Fidelity's various distribution channels.
- Manage capital commitment procedure with guidance from Underwriting, risk and desk strategists to prepare reports for FCM's Capital Commitment Committee.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrated experience and comfort with presentations and strong writing skills.
- Attend relevant industry conferences on behalf of the department.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Series 7, 63, 52 (may request candidate to secure the 53 and or 24 as well)

Every year Fidelity Capital Markets underwrites hundreds of municipal bond and note transactions. Our goal is to deliver the full range of products to our investors including primary market access. By engaging FCM as an underwriter, issuers can leverage a deep pools of retail liquidity in the industry and tap into one of the largest trading networks of an industry leader.
