The Role

This Technical Solution Architecture role spans across multiple product areas with a focus on associate desktop modernization. You will work with the business and technology leadership to define target architectures, architecture roadmaps, and help deliver the technical products that enable and support our business capabilities. You will be hands on working on the creation of the next generation software components at one of the largest high volume FinTech companies in the world. You will work closely with business sponsors, product owners, engineers and other architects in an agile (scrum) environment designing, implementing, testing, and deploying end to end technology solutions.

As a member of the architecture team you will work with architecture and engineering teams to help champion innovation, drive standardization, and deliver modern technology patterns across the stack for our customers' use. You will contribute to the product roadmap evolution in conjunction with business unit product goals and provide leadership in computing services, adoption of platforms and consolidation across our team's initiatives.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

An ideal candidate will have a solid computer science foundation, an effective combination of interpersonal and technical skills, and a passion for learning and expanding into other technologies. You will have worked in integration projects previously and are familiar with various industry standard integration patterns and have a platform mindset when it comes to building and deploying capabilities.

6+ years' experience engineering/developing web enabled applications and some combination of the following:

  • Proven track record as a Solution Architect, architecting, designing, and building new solutions
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Experience with Micro-Service Architecture & SOA
  • Experience in all aspects of AWS cloud computing (infrastructure, storage, platforms and data)
  • Working knowledge in all aspects of solution architecture (infrastructure/network topology, application architecture operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization)
  • Working knowledge of an architecture framework (e.g., TOGAF)
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages.
  • Well versed in Java, .net, JavaScript, Angular, Typescript.
  • Working knowledge of continuous integration/deployment
  • Experience with event-driven, serverless architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Heightened awareness, experience or passion for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Experience with agile development, DevOps, Automated Testing and Continuous Delivery
  • Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.
  • Contribution to the open-source community would be beneficial

The Team

This role will support 2 to 4 scrum teams delivering technology products to help Fidelity acquire new customers and retain our existing customers. This role will coordinate closely with the product owners and other colleagues across the enterprise to stay aligned on business and technology goals and make sure the squads are progressing and delivering against them. It will also occasionally represent the voice of the customer, and make sure squad members understand their needs and preferences.
