We are seeking a Senior Payroll Accountant to join our Global Shared Service Payroll Accounting team.
In this position, you will spearhead the management and strategic oversight of payroll functions across EPAM's subsidiaries. This includes ensuring seamless collaboration with HR and external partners while meticulously upholding compliance with SOX and US GAAP regulations.

This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, a well-equipped office in Tbilisi or coworking spaces in Batumi and Kutaisi.

Responsibilities
  • Handle payroll processes for designated EPAM subsidiaries: preparing information, coordinating with the HR team and external agencies, reviewing calculations and creating SOX control files
  • Perform US GAAP bookkeeping for payroll-related activities
  • Analyze and reconcile payroll across all internal systems
  • Investigate complicated payroll cases
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments
  • Respond to audit requests and participate in regular meetings with external and internal auditors
  • Address local audits focusing on the payroll-related aspects
  • Engage in regular improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and testing new processes
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports upon request
Requirements
  • Higher economic education in finance or accounting
  • 3+ years of working experience as Senior Payroll Accountant (or higher)/ Senior Payroll Specialist/ Auditor (incl. payroll)
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • Working experience with ERP systems (SAP is an advantage)
  • English language level - B1 and higher
