We are actively seeking a seasoned Senior Oracle DBA to join our team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in Oracle database systems to support and develop the DE&ET Data Stores team. Your practical experience in Oracle and familiarity with OCI will be crucial in driving support and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance
  • Support database migration between on-premises and cloud environments
  • Analyze data access patterns, identifying hotspots and bottlenecks
  • Design and review data models, assisting developers in planning high-performing queries
  • Define and establish best practices for Oracle, including configuration, monitoring health, and backups of the cluster
  • Manage storage capacity of the cluster and plan for growth based on future project goals
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues as needed

  • 4+ years of practical experience with Oracle database systems
  • Excellent understanding of core Oracle concepts and architecture
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Upper-Intermediate level of both spoken and written English (B2 and higher)
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of GoldenGate
  • Understanding of Exadata and RAC
  • Experience with Linux/Unix servers
  • Familiarity with CI/CD (Jenkins and/or GitLab) and project life-cycle principles
  • Knowledge of AWS technologies
